United to Learn’s Policy Study brings together a diverse group of key decision-makers and community leaders in Dallas to highlight the urgent need for policy changes that can drive equity in Dallas.
Eliminating resource gaps and promoting educational equity lies at the heart of the United to Learn mission.
U2L’s Policy Study curates relevant readings and expert presentations to stimulate meaningful dialogue that is free from judgment or blame. As thought leaders explore the history that laid the groundwork for today’s structural inequities, they delve into the roots and impact of policies including:
- Modern Inequities
- Housing
- Education
- Infrastructure
- Healthcare
- Criminal Justice
- Voting
Participants in the program might also engage in field visits and volunteer opportunities for hands-on experiences.
Cohort members are nominated by our network every year and meet once a month from October to May.
