As Chief Program Officer, Sheryl Collins brings her areas of expertise to her role as the critical lead strategist in the development and oversight of U2L’s collaborative model along our four key pillars of programming. She leads the integration of these high-impact levers to establish measurable outcomes and drive program execution to achieve these goals. As a lead relationship manager to Dallas ISD leadership from Executive Directors to Chief School Leadership, Sheryl is a critical thought partner to U2L’s district partners.

Formerly Dallas ISD’s Executive Director of the Lincoln, Madison, and Roosevelt feeder pattern elementary schools, Sheryl has become familiar with U2L over the past two years as she oversaw nine U2L campuses.

Sheryl is a seasoned educator with a proven track record of improving student outcomes through increasing teacher effectiveness and improving campus culture. She has extensive experience assessing campus needs, developing improvement plans, and implementing strategic staffing and campus-wide systems change. As part of the second and third cohorts of Dallas ISD’s ACE model, Sheryl successfully improved historically low-performing campuses from Improvement Required status to “A” rated. Her campus went on to be named the top-ranked Dallas ISD campus and recipient of five distinctions in the areas of reading, math, academic growth, closing achievement gaps, and postsecondary readiness.

Sheryl has been influential in the development of effective hiring practices for teachers within Dallas ISD. She participated in the Harvard Urban Leadership Institute and was a member of the Dallas ISD Principal Fellows.
