Strategic Impact Advisor


As United to Learn’s former president, Carol Pierce Goglia now serves as our strategic impact advisor working closely with the CEO to guide strategy, marketing, campaigns and talent management as well as making strategic connections for the organization.

An education advocate, community champion and movement builder, Carol lives by Emily Dickinson’s mantra: “dwell in possibility.”

Before joining United to Learn in 2020 as president, Carol oversaw marketing across all aspects of Communities Foundation of Texas including the 1,000+ charitable funds of individuals, families and businesses as well as all programs including foundation-wide grantmaking, CFT for Business, Educate Texas and the W. W. Caruth, Jr. Fund at CFT. Notably, Carol led marketing for CFT’s North Texas Giving Day, the nation’s largest community-wide giving event that grew ten-fold raising $50 million for 3,000 nonprofits serving the 20-county North Texas region. Carol and her team were recognized nationally and locally—PRNews Marketer of the Year, Dallas-Fort Worth American Marketing Association’s Marketer of the Year and CNM Connect’s Communicator of the Year. Before CFT, Carol worked for ten years in brand marketing at PepsiCo and Frito Lay.

In the community, Carol currently serves on the board of the Dallas Arboretum, the vestry of St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, the board racial equity committee of Big Thought and advisory council of UT Dallas. Carol serves as a United to Learn school liaison, volunteers for her children’s schools and was a Girl Scout leader for more than 10 years. Carol serves her alma maters on the admissions committees for W&L and UT’s McCombs School of Business. She is a graduate of Leadership Dallas, Leadership Arts and Leadership ISD.

Carol holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and a BA from Washington & Lee University. Carol and her husband Mark live in Dallas with their three children.
