Carol Pierce Goglia



An education advocate, community champion and movement builder, Carol Pierce Goglia lives by Emily Dickinson’s mantra: “dwell in possibility.”

Carol serves as United to Learn’s president overseeing the day-to-day operations, programs and marketing of the Dallas-based education nonprofit. Carol brings a wealth of experience to United to Learn coming most recently from Communities Foundation of Texas. Carol oversaw marketing across all aspects of foundation including the 1,000+ funds and grantmaking from individuals, families and businesses as well as all programs including Educate Texas and the W. W. Caruth, Jr. Fund at CFT. Notably, Carol led marketing for CFT’s North Texas Giving Day, the nation’s largest community-wide giving event that grew ten-fold raising $50 million for 3,000 nonprofits serving the 20-county North Texas region. Carol and her team were recognized nationally and locally—PRNews Marketer of the Year, Dallas-Fort Worth American Marketing Association’s Marketer of the Year and CNM Connect’s Communicator of the Year. Before CFT, Carol worked for ten years in brand marketing at PepsiCo and Frito Lay.

In the community, Carol has served on the board of Big Thought and advisory council of UT Dallas. Carol serves as a United to Learn school liaison, is a Girl Scout troop leader and volunteers for her children’s schools. Carol serves her alma maters on the admissions committees for W&L and UT’s McCombs School of Business. She is currently in the class of Leadership ISD and is a graduate of Leadership Dallas and Leadership Arts.

Carol holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and a BA from Washington & Lee University. Carol and her husband Mark live in Dallas with their three children.
